I have been crafting since I was 8 years old. That is well over 30 years ago, I just won’t talk about how much over 30 years. I have done crochet, ceramics, macrame, knitting, cross stich, latch hook, knitting (my daughter does this ten times better than me), and quilting. I tried scrap booking, but honestly, I just put pictures on a page and decorate the page….nothing like I have seen real scrap bookers accomplish. I spent 10 years in the Navy medical field, and have since worked in software sales. I have raised 2 1/2 children (I still have a 13 year old at home) and I have a wonderful grandson. Crafting has been an outlet for stressful day, and a way of meeting friends. It was crafting that helped me achieve a completed Christmas present list, when the household budget was just not enough. I believe crafting is a necessity. When I am 90 years old I hope that I still have a craft to keep me busy. I would love to teach crafting classes and have my own business some day. Everyone has a creative talent, hobbies and crafting help those talents shine.
